Tristan Perrotti is a Portland-based visual artist specializing in expressionist painting, blending surreal and classical forms to dissect traditional themes and explore the nuances of his experiences. Guided and inspired by classical artists and contemporary thinkers, Tristan works to bring energy and vibrancy to his paintings. He often is curious about mapping out his internal emotional world on the canvas, exploring feelings we all have through the expression of the body. Considering how our feelings impact our sense of our own body is a point of intense scrutiny in his work, with an emphasis often being placed on capturing energy and movement. With a strong sense of color and vibrancy, Tristan works to bring intensity to his paintings and to his audience’s experience. Along with his artistic practice, he also serves as an Adjunct Instructor at Southwestern Oregon Community College, where he is also the Artist-in-Residence for the 2025-2026 Academic Year.
